Hope for Britian

After World War II, Britain was devastated. There had been several bombings, including the bombing of London, leaving it in ruins. People had lost many things including family members, friends, homes, and hope. For years Britain was in a sort of depression. Roger Bannisters mile, gave a needed win to Britain and aided the idea of hope amongst the people.
