    Conspiracy theories were made against Roger Bannister that questioned the legitimacy of his 'Miracle Mile'. Reporters in interviews asked him if his shoes helped him run the mile faster. This question was asked again to record breaker of the sub two-hour marathon, Eliud Kipchoge. Reporter Minda Zetlin's article, "Nike Vaporfly helped Eluid Kipchoge Run A Marathon in Under Two Hours. Should They Be Banned?", She questioned the possibility of his mile because the weight of his shoes. Like Kipchoge, Bannister was criticized for his shoe weight and the authenticity of his very own sub-four-minute mile.
